Comic-Con: Schedule

Here are the events and panels I'm planning to attend. If anyone wants to meet up, here's where I'll be.

Comic-Con: Schedule @ San Diego, CA

Comic-Con 2010!

Hey everybody! Who's going to be at Comic-Con? I'm looking forward to meeting lots of people and having a great time in San Diego. Once again, I don't have a booth this year,(but I'm looking for somebody to split a booth with next year). I'll be roaming the floor with my Much the Miller's Son T-shirt on, so if you see me, stop me and say hello!

Thomas Perkins

Thomas Perkins is the Emmy-winning character designer for Ben 10. He's been around for a long time and done some high-profile work. My favorite thing he's done is The Screed Patrol, a series of sketchbook drawings that evoke whole worlds of alien adventure. There's a clear Jack Kirby influence along with inspiration from African masks, Neolithic stone carvings and Australian Aboriginal art. All with a cartoony appeal. Check out his blog here: thomasperkins.blogspot.com

Atlas & Axis

While on the subject of breathtaking color cartoons, check out: http://www.escapula.com/

THE STRANGE ADVENTURES OF THE DUCK ALFRED J.KWAK

I wish I could color my comics like this. Check out this blog by one of the creators, a former production designer for Disney who now teaches in the Far East. There's a treasure trove of unbelievable art there!

The Abominable Charles Christopher

Do yourself a favor and check out this incredible web comic! The Abominable Charles Christopher

Jon Bauer

A turn of the century Swedish illustrator who was clearly an influence on Brian Froud and Jim Henson. His style is reminiscent of Kay Nielsen and Arthur Rackham. What gorgeous monsters!
