Here's some fooling around I did with that paper background and the new brush James sent me. I'm actually only using the pencil brush for textures, but I used some watercolor brushes for the wash effect. I'm trying to emulate 70s horror comics a bit.

Thanks man! Yeah, what was the deal with all those Filipino guys? It seems like they came out of nowhere and just kind of took over the mature titles in the seventies.

I used to have a collection of Graphic Classics comics when I was a kid. A lot of the big Filipino guys drew them, unfortunately uncredited. I found out later it was Alex Nino, Nestor Redondo and I think Rudy Nebres and a few others. Not only did I learn about great literature at a young age, I got my mind blown by some awesome cartoonists.
